Siraha District is situated in Sagarmatha Zone of eastern development region. It coveres an area of one thousand two hundred and twenty eight square kilometer and is bordered by Saptari District in east, Dhanusa District in West, Udayapur District in North and India in South. Most of the parts of this district is covered by plain land of Terai. It is the smallest district of Sagarmatha Zone. We can found place situated at an altitude of seventy six meter to eight hundred eighty five meter from sea level.
There are many place in this district which have religious and historical importance. We can enjoy the view of plain fertile land, beautiful river such as Balaan river , Kamala river etc. We can also enjoy fishing in these rivers.
Sahalesh Garden :
Sahalesh Garden is one of the historically important place situated in this district. This place is situated in Sisbani VDC and it covers an area of 1.44502614 hectares. This place is famous among the Dushad and Danuwar community. There is a tree situated in the middle of this garden and which name is Haaraam. The amazing fact of this tree is that flower on this tree blooms only on the day of new year. There is a temple of King Sahalesh and Maalini near the tree.
