Kailali District is one of the District situated in Far West Development Region in Seti Zone.It Is one of the District situated in Terai of Seti Zone. This place is famous for its own natural beauty , bio diversity and cultural importance. It Covers an area of Three Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty Five square Kilometer. This District is Bordered by Bardiya and Surkhet in East, Kanchanpur in West, Doti and Dadeldhura in North and India In south. Although it is a District situated in Terai but around forty percent of this District is situated in hilly region.
We can reach to Kailali via Plane from kathmandu. Kailali District is the entrance gate for Far West Development Region. It is approximately seven hundred kilometer away from Kathmandu.And we can travel to this place via bus in one day.

Karnali Bridge: This Bridge is in the Eastern part of Kailali District in Chisapani on Mahendra Highway. This is the second sample bridge of Asia which has only single pole for its support.This bridge is manufacture by Kawasaki Industries on design of American company Stain main in a budget of Three Hundred and Sixty million. This bridge is the connecting bridge of far west with other part of Nepal. The wonderful design of bridge, cold and fresh air and deep blue water flowing river attracts all. The Delicious fish of Karnali are also attracting points of Karnali Bridge.
Tikapur Park: This park is situated in Tikapur municipality.This park is situated in the bank of Karnali river and which covers an area of twelve bigha. We can reach this place by traveling around six kilometer from Tikapur. The beautiful flowers and the attracting natural forest makes you lost in this place.
Dolphin : Dolphin is another attraction of this District. We can find Dolphin in Karnali River, Pathariya River. Dolphin usually travels from India to this place when the water level of these rivers are high. It is believed that there are around one hundred Dolphin of Platanista gangetica species in Karnali region. We can view Dolphin playing Hide and Seek in these rivers.
Ghoda Ghodi Lake: It is situated in Eastern part of Kailalli District. It touches Darakh, Sadepani and Ram Shikhar Jhala VDC. It covers an area of one hundred and thirty eight Hector. This lake is in the shape of hand. There are fourteen lake around this lake. We can found more than four hundred and fifty types of plants, One hundred and forty eight types of birds, Thirty two Types of butterflies, Three hundred types of medicine and twenty seven types of fish . It has a depth of one meter to four meter.
