This place is located at eastern part of Terai and we can reach here via Mahendra highway.This is a wetland of an area of one hundred and seventy five square kilometer and is situated in Sunsari,Udayapur and Saptari District.
This place is best destination for the bird watcher and wild live viewer.It is one of the twenty seven bird watching place of Nepal.We can observed wild buffalo, wild boar,Asian Elephant,Dolphins,Spotted Deer,Hog Deer, Golden Jackel and other thirty one species of mammals.It is home for at least four hundred and ninety three species of of birds which means almost all type of birds can be viewed here.
Being in Saptakoshi river it is also the home place for different types of aquatic plants and animals like fishes, toad, frog,turtle,gharial and mugger crocodile.
