There are many place to visit in this district. Jalpadevi Temple( Chintang Devi Temple), Nishan Bhagawati Temple, Shiva Panchayan ( Bisranti Temple)are few of the religiously important place of Dhankuta.There are lots of green forest and hills which attracts tourist. Different places such as Bhedetar, Dhoje Hill, Hile Pakhribaas, Raja Rani, Namaste water fall are few of them.
Bhedetar:
This place is situated at a distance of twenty six kilometer from the headquarter of Dhankuta (Dhankuta Bazar) and we have to cross this place when we travel to Dhankuta from Kathmandu. It is situated at a height of One thousand four hundred and twenty meter from sea level and is best destination to visit from nearby plain area of Terai.We can enjoy the view of Plain field of Terai, snow capped mountain such as Kanchanjunga , Makalu, Kumbhakarna from this place. We can enjoy the chilling weather.
Jalpadevi Temple( Chintang Devi Temple):
This is the holy temple of Goddess Jalpadevi and is situated in Chintang VDC.There is another temple of Kanya Devi in this place too. A number of pilgrims visit this place every years believing that there wishes comes true if they visit this temple.
Dhaje Hill:
This hill is thirteen kilometer away from Bhedetar and is at a height of 2047 meter from sea level.
We can enjoy the view of all sixteen district of Eastern development region from this place. We can
also enjoy the view of Tamar River from this place.
The Banyan Tree:
It is belived that the largest banyan tree of Asia is situated in Dhankuta district in Dadha Bazar VDC 2. Local people belived that the tree is two hundred and fifty years old and the perimeter of base of the tree is seventeen meter. Lots of people come to visit this place.
Rajarani:
Rajarani is another important tourist area situated in Dhankuta district. The beautiful lake situated on the top of a hill attract anyone who reach this place. It takes around one and half hour from Bhedetar to reach this place.
Hile and Pakhribaas:
Hile and Pakhribaas are famous for the cold weather. Hile is also famous for Tongba ( A traditional
drink of Limbu community). Most of the people visit this place to enjoy the cool climate.Most of the people in this place are Tamang and Sherpa and this place is famous for Hile gumba.
