Pach Pokhari( Five ponds) is named after the five holy ponds.Pach Pokhari is situated in north east part of Sindhupalchowk district. It is one of the best trekking spot near kathmandu valley. The route is rich with nature gifts. Beautiful snow capped mountain and green hills makes you stare on it.This place is situated in about 13450 feet from the sea level.It is around seventy kilometer away from kathmandu valley.
Although this place is situated near Kathmandu but still we have to follow a difficult track to reach there.We can travell via bus from kathmandu to Chautara. It takes around five hours to reach there. After that we have to trek through several villages and forest full of rhododendron to Thulo Okhareni via Sano Okhreni. During the trekking we can observe the snow capped mountains and peaks like Mt. Langrang Lirung , Dorje Lapka and many other small mountain and green hills full of sheep and goats.Pach pokhari offers an excellent view of Rowaling Range, Gosainkunda, Mt. Kanchanjunga, Mt. Makalu and Jugal himal range.
It is the best destination for Trekking near Kathmandu valley.
